Schram & Associates began in 1988 as Accounting & Bookkeeping Services. Our firm is committed to quality and affordable accounting solutions for businesses and individuals.

Frances E. Schram founded the firm while attending college. From 1984 to 1988 she attended Seattle University and Central Washington University and majored in accounting and business administration. As a licensed Enrolled Agent she has represented clients before the Internal Revenue Service as a business and individual taxpayer advocate. Additional accreditations include Accredited Business Accountant, Accredited Tax Preparer and Accredited Tax Advisor.

Laura Coen joined the firm in June 2007. She graduated with honors from Seattle University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting in 2003. Prior to Schram & Associates, Laura worked in the private industry for 5 years at a local Fortune 100 company in various financial reporting, accounting and auditing positions. Laura is a licensed CPA and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Bret Espey joined the firm in January 2008. He graduated in 1989 from Western Washington University with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Since graduating, Bret has worked as a government auditor, payroll administrator, assistant controller for a real estate management firm, and a controller of a corrugated paper box manufacturing plant. Bret also spent 9 years in a local Fortune 100 company as an internal auditor, accounting manager, and various other financial reporting and accounting positions. From 1992 to 2007 Bret also owned his own accounting and tax firm and has 15 years experience with business and individual tax issues. Bret is a licensed CPA in Washington State.
